Thomson currently has two account systems - one for the website and CAD model downloads, and one for e-commerce. We understand that two logins is an inconvenience and are working to consolidate our systems into one login process. Until we’re able to consolidate the two logins, please follow these guidelines:

- Single - One solid output shaft
- Dual - Two solid output shafts. Only available on right angle units
- Hollow - Gearbox has a through bore for clamping onto a shaft. Only available on right angle units.

- Right Angle - Motor will be at a 90 degree angle from the output
Backlash
Backlash, sometimes called lash or play, is lost motion caused by space between the gear teeth.
Gearing
Helical gears are known for their quiet and smooth operation along with their ability to transmit higher loads than spur gears.
Peak Torque
Allowable momentary peak torque for emergency stop or heavy shock loading.

Redimount
The RediMount is the adapter that goes between the Motor and the Gearhead. Different RediMount numbers have different dimensions. If you need assistance in selecting a RediMount to fit your motor contact customer support or visit Micromotioneering for assistance.
